This story starts in New Mexico. Santa Fe Photographic Workshops, to be exact, during the warm month of July in 2015 which is when I first met the mother of the bride... the lovely, Teresa Waterman. After spending a week with her and forming a strong bond out of middle-school giggles and desert adventures, she told me about her beautiful daughter and the upcoming wedding. Fast forward past the engagement photo adventure and into the summer season of 2016 and we find ourselves here - at the wedding of Eliza Waterman and Brendan Keegan (with all thanks to the effervescent, Teresa).
Corey and I were welcomed into the Waterman's home and the Keegan family from the very start. From the festive and delicious rehearsal dinner, to the most elegant soiree disguised as a wedding, we were part of the celebration. We gathered at Truck for the rehearsal dinner, to dine on homemade tacos and carrot cake twinkies (yes, as delicious as it sounds) and listen to the live mariachi band as the sun set in Bedford, New York. With the morning of June 18th, 2016 quickly approaching, an array of tearful and hysterical speeches came to a close and the night ended with electricity in the air.
The wedding day began as all brides hope, with beautiful weather and all members of the wedding party at their appropriately assigned stations. The girls were lost within the Waterman's New York estate while the groom and his men passed the scotch and beer waiting patiently at the venue. Friends and family traveled from quite literally the farthest corners of the globe to attend the wedding of two entwined souls, and gathered as the sun placed itself perfectly in the sky. Elizabeth and Brendan said their written vows adorned by a setting sun. The two proceeded to throw a grand celebration with a five-star dinner and band that raised the bar for all wedding bands out there (seriously, these guys killed it). Eliza and Brendan began their married life in the only manner they know how - surrounded by a circle of devoted friends and family, and their unwavering trust and love for one another.
