Keegan Wedding

Paige Denkin

This story starts in New Mexico. Santa Fe Photographic Workshops, to be exact, during the warm month of July in 2015 which is when I first met the mother of the bride... the lovely, Teresa Waterman. After spending a week with her and forming a strong bond out of middle-school giggles and desert adventures, she told me about her beautiful daughter and the upcoming wedding. Fast forward past the engagement photo adventure and into the summer season of 2016 and we find ourselves here - at the wedding of Eliza Waterman and Brendan Keegan (with all thanks to the effervescent, Teresa).

Corey and I were welcomed into the Waterman's home and the Keegan family from the very start. From the festive and delicious rehearsal dinner, to the most elegant soiree disguised as a wedding, we were part of the celebration. We gathered at Truck for the rehearsal dinner, to dine on homemade tacos and carrot cake twinkies (yes, as delicious as it sounds) and listen to the live mariachi band as the sun set in Bedford, New York. With the morning of June 18th, 2016 quickly approaching, an array of tearful and hysterical speeches came to a close and the night ended with electricity in the air.

The wedding day began as all brides hope, with beautiful weather and all members of the wedding party at their appropriately assigned stations. The girls were lost within the Waterman's New York estate while the groom and his men passed the scotch and beer waiting patiently at the venue. Friends and family traveled from quite literally the farthest corners of the globe to attend the wedding of two entwined souls, and gathered as the sun placed itself perfectly in the sky. Elizabeth and Brendan said their written vows adorned by a setting sun. The two proceeded to throw a grand celebration with a five-star dinner and band that raised the bar for all wedding bands out there (seriously, these guys killed it). Eliza and Brendan began their married life in the only manner they know how - surrounded by a circle of devoted friends and family, and their unwavering trust and love for one another.

Warner + Bartenbach Wedding

Paige Denkin

Brindiamo alla vita, all'amore, alla felicità!

It was May 22nd, 2016, when we drove to Brooklyn to meet Dahlia and her future husband at their adorable apartment in Williamsburg. The weather was more than cooperative on this supposed summer day. With a cool breeze and a setting sun, we left their humble home and beloved fur child to head towards the city, specifically Little Italy and the prized restaurant, Emporio.

Emporio, already filling with the sounds of laughter and cheering glasses, almost as sensational as the fresh smells wafting from the kitchen and brick oven, was a welcoming sight comprised of warm light, cold cocktails and soft sunlight dancing through the skylights to the tables below. Friends and family gathered and Dahlia and Jeff made their grand entrance, jumping quickly into a ceremony setting in front of their loved ones. Words were exchanged, and the crowd that had formed out of love and dedication applauded their consent with a giant cheer and a raised glass. Food was served in the same style as the event itself: family style. Sharing plates, stories, and precious moments before the chairs were pushed aside and the dance floor exposed for it's true purpose. The music began and the wedding of Dahlia Warner and Jeff Bartenbach closed with as much energy as it opened with.

We toast to life, to love, to happiness!

Erica + Luis

Paige Denkin

Where do we begin? We've known and adored the bride and groom since college - the groom is even one Corey's groomsmen. Erica and Luis' wedding was exceptionally important to us and they granted us full creative license to produce whatever we found fit. We were able to focus strictly on capturing clean and beautiful video while the rest of the day was taken care of by an array of helping hands. Every detail was carefully considered and the outcome was a true testament to their unique personalities and the life they've built together.

Erica and Luis Gonzalez were married on October 24, 2015 in Saint Petersburg, Florida. Their classically romantic and tropical ceremony was held at Sunken Gardens and the reception proceeded at Nova 535. Destined for marriage since first passing glances in high school, these two graduated from Flagler College in Saint Augustine, FL and then swiftly packed their bags and moved to NYC where Luis found success as a designer at Squarespace. Erica, an exceptional fine artist and photographer herself, beams endlessly with pride and excitement over the happiness they've found in the city, and the love they found within each other. Their love, passion and ambition are inspirational to everyone around them, including us. We couldn't be more grateful to have had this opportunity and we'd like to take this moment to say, Luis and Erica... we love you.

As a beautiful day, becomes a beautiful life....

Elaine + Corey

Paige Denkin

'til game over

We met up with Corey and Elaine yesterday to hand over their final products, grab a coffee and see how married life is treating them. A couple espressos turned into 8 caffeinated drinks, morning coffee turned into Saturday brunch and 6 mimosas later we finally had to tear ourselves away from these two. It's a solid reminder why we do what we do. Thank you for inviting us into your lives.

It made me realize that we hadn't blogged the video of their incredibly special and one-of-a-kind monster mash of a wedding. We had such a blast dancing to Thriller, seated amongst the classical horror themed decor and surrounded by new and old friends. We tried to keep their photos and video as energetic and non-tradition as their wedding by using a faster paced song and incorporating the details that set their day apart.
